Shirley Chan is currently a senior program manager at Google and director of finance for Empowered Students. At Google, she is responsible for transforming, automating, and establishing the existence of inventory and assets within Google Cloud and building resilience into Google’s supply chain to effectively and efficiently run the business at scale.
Previously, Shirley served various roles within Google including logistics program manager and cost accounting manager. As a logistics program manager, she provided global solutions within the supply chain by developing and program managing transformational projects, vendor manager for Google’s logistics provider, and business support. As a cost accounting manager she managed inventory for Google. She lead multiple programs related to inventory system implementations and process improvements including establishing a standardized costing methodology, developing a returns process, and a worldwide Sparing program. Prior to Google, Shirley held various accounting and finance roles at Applied Materials and KLA-Tencor.
Shirley holds a Masters in Business Administration from Santa Clara University concentration in leading people and organizations and accounting (graduated Cum Laude), Bachelors in Business Administration concentration in finance (graduated Magna Cum Laude), and Associate’s Degree from DeAnza College in Business Administration (graduated Magna Cum Laude). Shirley holds an advanced project management certification from Stanford.
Shirley grew up in San Jose and currently lives in Campbell California with her husband and son. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her family.
